The 450 AED offers integrated CPR Rate Advisor that uses only the electrodes to monitor and uniquely provide visual and verbal feedback on the rate of applied CPR, as well as continuously reminding the rescuer to perform CPR when no CPR is detected. This exclusive technology effectively assists the rescuer to perform CPR. The Hearsine Samaritan Pad 450 has easy to follow visual and verbal guides making it user friendly and easy to follow. The built in software in the machine uses a low-energy waveform to monitor the patient’s heart rhythm. If it is determined that a shock is required, the Shock Button illuminates and a CPR tone and flashing icon coach the rescuer in delivering chest compressions. This defibrillator uses different charge amounts for adults and children and the verbal instructions advise when defibrillation is needed. The  Heartsine Samaritan Pad 450 Defibrillator has 3 large, easy-to-see icons that illuminate – when to attach pads,  stand clear, and when it is safe to touch the patient. You should always have an adult set of pads and a set of Pediatrics pads for children who are 8 years or younger, or who weigh less than 55 lbs.  So there is no confusion on which pads you are using the adult pads are colored gray and the pediatric pads are pink. The battery and pads come in a single use cartridge with one expiration date for both with only one item to replace after use, saving you money.  The Heartsine Samaritan Pad 450 Defibrillator records events including the time, date, ECG trace & duration, shock delivery information, and CPR intervals. The size of this defibrillator is 8 by 7 inches and is only 2 inches thick. It comes with it’s own carry-case. It is TSA approved making it safe to take on planes.
